We use manufacturer-approved installation methods, in-house crews who are trained and accountable to those methods, and a project sign-off process that requires documented inspection before any roof leaves our hands. Your roofing materials carry their own separate manufacturer’s product warranty through GAF, Owens Corning, or your chosen system manufacturer. Together, your Home Pros craftsmanship warranty and your manufacturer’s product warranty give you complete coverage (labor and materials) for the long term.
James Hardie Siding
Not all siding performs equally in the Pacific Northwest, and after working on Oregon homes since 2023, we have a clear opinion on what holds up and what doesn’t. James Hardie fiber cement siding is the product we recommend to the majority of our Oregon clients, and it’s the product we’ve built the largest part of our siding operation around.
What is James Hardie Fiber Cement?
James Hardie siding is engineered from a blend of Portland cement, sand, and cellulose fiber. This composition gives it structural properties that are fundamentally different from vinyl, wood, or engineered wood alternatives. It does not absorb moisture. It does not expand and contract with temperature cycles the way wood-based products do. It is non-combustible and carries a Class A fire rating. It is impervious to woodpeckers, carpenter bees, and insect damage. In a climate like Oregon’s where exterior surfaces face sustained rainfall, freeze-thaw cycles, and high ambient moisture, those properties are the difference between a siding installation that lasts 30 years and one that starts failing in 10.
